In 2011, liposuction was the top cosmetic procedure in the United States, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Why the rise in popularity? Smartlipo™was the first laser approved by the FDA to dissolve and remove fat with liposuction. This laser technology helps reduce the blood loss and tissue damage that is experienced with regular liposuction, which in turn means less swelling and bruising.
